A glossary of key Eventeny terms and features.

Welcome to the Eventeny Index! This resource was created to give readers like you a go-to guide on some important Eventeny lingo.

Below you will find the definitions, as well as some examples of Eventeny features, acronyms and more!

A

Application Statuses: Indicators of the status of your application that consists of awaiting decision, approved, rejected, waitlisted or withdrawn. The status of your application is entirely up to the event organizer. If you have questions about the status of your application, contact the event organizer or learn more about what each status means.

Example: "My application just switched from awaiting decision to approved. I'm so excited!"

Community Page: An Eventeny resource that houses our previous webinars, community forums and informational guides. Also known as Community Center.

Example: "Did you catch the last webinar? It's posted on the Community Page!"

Draft Mode: This means your applications, tickets or event is not live or visible to the public. Draft mode is best used when you need to make edits to your event or simply don't want it to be visible.

Example: "I need to put one of my applications in draft mode. There are too many applicants!"

Deliverables: Applies to both the ticketing feature and sponsors. Refers to the tangible or intangible "perks" one will receive upon purchasing a ticket or becoming a sponsor.

Example: "As a ticket buyer, the deliverables you will receive are a backstage VIP pass and an autographed t-shirt."

Embed: Applies to most Eventeny features such as applications, schedule and tickets. Allows you to place aspects of your event on your website directly from Eventeny.

Example: "Let's embed our tickets onto our website. That way, our attendees can be taken directly to the Eventeny site to purchase."

Event Dashboard: The place where you edit and manage all things related to your event.

Example: "I just created my volunteer applications for the Grape Festival in my event dashboard.”

Eventeny Pay or evPay: Eventeny's very own seamless payment solution for vendors and event attendees. Attendees can load money within the Eventeny mobile app to use for purchasing vendor products and food. Vendors can use it as a POS system by looking up the attendee's information and charging their balance by using a redeeming QR code. Please note that this feature is still in beta development and only available to select users at this time.

Example: "I want to purchase some things at that booth. Let me reload some money on my evPay!"

Evee (Eh-vee): Our company mascot! Evee is a cute little fox that provides tips and magic moments on the Eventeny platform.

Example: "What is that fox on the bottom right corner? That's Evee, the Eventeny fox!"

Event Page: This is the page that attendees and various applicants see when they find your event. Your event page hosts all of your event information, public applications, tickets, contact information and more!

Example: "If you are interested in applying to be a volunteer at my event, go to my event page and apply!"

Eventeny Support vs. Event Organizer: Eventeny support is a team of individuals who are knowledgeable about the Eventeny platform and its features. They are there to help you with any technical questions or difficulties you may have while navigating Eventeny. An Event Organizer is the point of contact for any event specific questions you may have. For more information on what event specific questions are, please review this article.

Example: "Should I reach out to the event organizer or Eventeny support about my vendor inquiry?" "Please reach out to the event organizer for all event specific questions."

Knowledge Base: A helpful resource on Eventeny that hosts all of our help articles. If you're reading this now, you're likely already in the Knowledge Base! You can go to the Knowledge Base for help navigating features, ticket and application questions and more. If you can't find the answer, please reach out to Eventeny support and we will be happy to assist you!

Example: "I'm having trouble finding the status of my application. Let me see if there is an article for that in the Knowledge Base."

Live Mode: Opposite to draft mode, live mode means that anyone can see your event, tickets or applications. This mode is best used for when you are finished creating all aspects of your event and are ready to launch it for the public to see! Keep in mind that if your tickets or applications are set to a "Private" visibility, only those with a link will be able to see them, regardless if they are in live mode or not.

Example: "I am ready to launch my event applications! Let me toggle them to live mode so the public can apply."

Marketplace: This is where vendors can sell their physical products on Eventeny. They can accomplish this independently or by applying to events that allow them to display their online marketplaces. Learn more about opening up shop on Eventeny.

Example: "Where did you get that shirt?" "From a vendor on the Eventeny marketplace!"

My Events Page: The page where all of event organizer events, upcoming and past, are located. This is also the place to create a new event or copy from an existing one. The event page can be found by clicking the "My Events" tab at the top of the home page, or by hovering over it and clicking "See all events" at the bottom.

Example: "Find your event from last year on your 'My Events' page!"

Stripe: Our third-party payment processing software. This is how event organizers and vendors selling products on Eventeny receive their payments. Keep in mind that Stripe charges a 2.9% + $0.31 transaction fee per transaction, which can be passed to buyers, absorbed by the merchant/event organizer, or split 50/50 between the two. Stripe fees do not include Eventeny fees.

Example: "Make sure you set up your Stripe account so you can start receiving payments on Eventeny!"

Stripe Terminals: Allows event organizers and vendor merchants to take payments through Eventeny in the form of in person transactions. Stripe terminals are most commonly used on the day of an event and keeps transaction loops conveniently within your Eventeny account. Learn more about Stripe terminals or order them for your event.

Example: Connect your Stripe terminal to your mobile device to start taking payments at your event!"

Submission List: The place on an event's dashboard where all applicants populate. This is where event organizers can view vendor and other applicants' applications, approve, reject and waitlist them. Withdrawing applications is also possible here. Learn more about viewing and managing your submission lists.

Example: I'm getting a lot of applications for my event. Let me review them on my submission list."

Sponsor Deals: Similar to submission list, this is where event organizers can view and manage their sponsor applicants within the event dashboard. Approving, rejecting, waitlisting and withdrawing sponsor applications is also possible here. Learn more about viewing and managing your sponsor deals.

Example: "Eventeny wants to sponsor my event! Let me approve them in sponsor deals."

Team Member Permissions: Event organizers can set and update their team member's permissions directly in the event dashboard. This can look like allowing a team member to access only certain aspects of the event, such as volunteer applications, and restricting them access to the rest of the event. Team member permissions can be even more specific by allowing team members access to a select few or one application. This feature applies to jury members as well. Example: "I need help with managing volunteer departments. Let me update Sandy's team member permissions so she can help."
