Before diving into why you may not be receiving Stripe payouts, ensure that your payout method or Stripe account is properly set up and connected. If you haven’t done so yet, please review this article for guidance on adding your payout method. Once that’s confirmed, let’s explore common reasons for payout delays.
Application Payout Method Set To Check
If you’re successfully collecting payments for tickets, sponsorships, or vendor applications but not receiving Stripe payouts, the first step is to check your application settings.
-
Log in to Eventeny.com with your email and password.
- Hover over the "Organize" tab and select the event you wish to check the application settings for.
-
From your event dashboard, navigate to the left sidebar and select the tab for the applications where you’re collecting payments (e.g., Artists, Vendors & Exhibitors, Sponsors, or Other Applications). For this guide, we’ll focus on the "Artists, Vendors & Exhibitors" tab.
Next, click on the "Applications" tab from the drop-down menu.
- Select the "Edit application" button for the application that you want to view.
- Observe your "Payout Method" in the application settings. If it is set to "Check" or there is no payout method connected then any payments collected will follow the normal check payout schedule of 45-60 days from the date of the payment.
- To prevent the delay of payouts, moving forward, click on the "pencil icon' to edit your application settings.
-
Click on the drop-down menu under the "Payout Method" setting and click on the name of your Stripe account. Select the "Save" button to finalize your changes.
- Please use these steps to review all of your applications to ensure that all are set to pay out to your Stripe account. Payments that are paid out to your Stripe account are processed in as little as 24-72 hours.
Keep in mind that even if you switch the payout method to Stripe now, any payments or donations made before the change will still follow the check payout schedule, but instead of receiving a paper check, you’ll get a lump sum deposit to your Stripe account. Any new transactions after switching will go directly to your Stripe account.
- If you have not received your check payouts in more than 60 days, we recommend reaching out to your dedicated account manager or our customer support team to check on the status of your check payouts.
Stripe Verification
If you're experiencing issues with receiving payouts and have already confirmed that your application's payment method wasn't inadvertently set to "check," it might be time to take a closer look at your Stripe account. Stripe may require additional verification to continue processing payments, especially if there's a sudden increase in account activity or a large volume of transactions. This is a common safeguard to ensure the security and integrity of transactions.
When additional verification is needed, you’ll typically see a red error message on your Stripe dashboard indicating that more business information is required to resume payouts.
To help you navigate this verification process and get your payouts back on track, we recommend consulting Stripe’s detailed guides on this subject:
