What is Embedding?
Embedding is the process of placing content from one platform, such as Eventeny, onto another platform, like your event website. With embedding, you can showcase key event features directly on your website. This includes your event map, tickets, artist, vendor, and exhibitor applications and sponsor applications. Embedding these elements onto your website allows your attendees and participants to interact directly with the event without leaving your site.
How to Embed Eventeny Features on Your Website
To embed Eventeny features like tickets, applications, or maps on your website, you’ll need access to your website’s HTML/code editor, as we provide an embed code that must be pasted directly into your site.
While every website platform is a bit different, here are the general steps you’ll follow:
- Log into your website editor (e.g., Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, etc.).
- Navigate to the page where you want the Eventeny feature to appear.
- Add an “Embed” or “Custom HTML” block/section (naming may vary depending on your platform).
- Paste the embed code provided by Eventeny into that section.
- Save and publish your changes.
Embed Your Event Schedule
- To embed specific event features, go to the "Organize" tab and click on the event you want to work with.
- To embed your event schedule, go to the "Home" drop-down menu, select the "Schedule" tab, click the "Options" button, and choose the "Embed" option.
- A separate modal will appear with the option to enter dates that would limit the schedule embed and the default view of the schedule. Once those options are selected, click the copy button.
- The embed code will be copied into your computer clipboard, and then you can paste the code into your website.
Embed Your Map(s)
- Navigate to your map dashboard by clicking on the "Maps" tab.
- Select the "Options" button and click on "Embed".
- Choose the map that you want to embed and then click on the "Copy" button. From there, you can copy the embed code into your website.
Embed Your Applications
- At this time, you can only embed "Artists, Vendors & Exhibitors" and "Sponsor" applications. These steps will outline how to embed an "Artists, Vendors & Exhibitors" application, but the same process applies to "Sponsor" applications.
Under the "Artists, Vendors & Exhibitors" drop-down menu, select the "Applications" tab.
- Select the "Options" button and click on "Embed".
- Click on the checkbox next to the applications that you want to embed and then click on the "Copy" button. From there, you can copy the embed code into your website.
Embed Your Tickets
- Navigate to the "Tickets" drop-down menu and select "Tickets".
- Select the "Options" button and click on "Embed".
- Choose the visibility type of the tickets you want to select, any ticket groups, and click the checkbox for any specific tickets that you want to embed. Click on the "Copy" button. From there, you can copy the embed code into your website.
