Before You Begin
Before creating sections on your seat map, make sure you’ve completed the following setup steps. These ensure your seat map is ready for section creation and that all seats are properly scaled and placed.

Once these steps are done, you’ll be ready to start adding and managing sections on your seat map.
Create A New Section
Navigate to the Seat Map you are currently working on. Click the "Edit Details" button to open the seat map editor.

From the left-side menu, click on the Seats tab. This is where you can view and manage all seats on your map.

You can select individual seats by clicking on them directly, or select multiple seats at once by clicking on one seat and holding down the Shift key while selecting others.
Under the Sections section of the side menu, click the dropdown arrow and select Add a New Section. This will open a form where you can set up your new section’s details.

In the section creation form, you will need to complete the following fields.

Section Name: Enter the name of your new section (for example, “VIP,” “Balcony,” or “General Admission”).

Section Description: Optionally, add a short description to help identify the section’s purpose or area.

Toggle “Restrict section seats by ticket type?” to Yes if you’d like to link this section to a specific ticket type. Once enabled, a new dropdown will appear where you can select which ticket(s) apply to this section.
If you want to change seat pricing for this section, toggle “Do you want to change seat price under this section?” to Yes. Enter the amount you’d like to adjust. This amount acts as a seat-level price adjustment, it will be added to the base price of any ticket linked to seats in this section.

Once you’ve completed all fields, click Save to create your section.
Your new section will now appear on your seat map whenever you hover over a seat that is assigned to that specific section.
Assign Seats To An Existing Section
- From the map editor, on the left-side menu, click on the Seats tab. Select individual seats by clicking on them directly, or select multiple seats at once by clicking on one seat and holding down the Shift key while selecting others.
- Under the Sections section of the side menu, click the dropdown arrow and select the existing section of your choice.

When editing an existing section, you’ll have the option to update the following fields. The form will already be pre-populated with that section’s current details, which you can adjust as needed:
Section Name: Enter or update the section’s name (for example, VIP, Balcony, or General Admission).
Section Description: Add or edit a short description to identify the section’s purpose or area.
Restrict by Ticket Type: Toggle Yes to link this section to a specific ticket type, then select the ticket from the dropdown.
Adjust Seat Pricing: Toggle Yes to set a price adjustment for seats in this section. Enter the amount to add to the base ticket price for any seats assigned to this section.
Once you are satisfied with all the fields, click Save to finalize any changes.
Delete A Section
- If you need to delete a section, you can do so directly from the seat map editor. Click on any seat that’s currently assigned to the section you want to delete.
- Scroll down in the seat details panel.
- Click Save to finalize the deletion.
