Create an Affiliate Link

Learn how to create affiliate links, track the ticket sales your affiliates bring in, and offer affiliates their own discount code.

⚠️ Heads Up: This article assumes that you have already created a ticket on Eventeny. If you have not yet created a ticket, please review this guide first.

What Is The Affiliate Program?

The Affiliate Program lets you give partners, influencers, or promoters their own ticket link so you can see exactly how many tickets they help you sell. Each affiliate gets a unique code that's built into their link, and every ticket purchased through that link is credited to them automatically.

This makes it easy to measure which promoters are driving the most sales, reward top performers, or decide who to partner with for future events.

Create An Affiliate

1. Click on the Affiliate Program option in the Tickets drop-down menu.

2. Select the + New affiliate button.

3. Fill out the Create an affiliate form with the following information:

  • Affiliate name: The name of the person or business promoting your event.

  • Code: The unique code that tracks this affiliate's sales (max 25 characters). If you do not wish to create a code, you can click the "Generate code" option, and a code will be created for you.

  • Email: The affiliate's email address.

Click the Submit button to finalize your affiliate.

4. Once submitted, the affiliate will be available in your Affiliate Program dashboard with their own ticket link. Click Copy link to copy it and share it with your affiliate.

Manage Affiliates

The Affiliate Program dashboard provides an overview of all affiliates associated with your event. For each affiliate, you can review:

  • Name: The name assigned to the affiliate.

  • Code: The unique code that tracks the affiliate's sales.

  • Link: The affiliate's ticket link, which includes their code.

  • # Usage: The number of orders placed through the affiliate's link.

  • Value: The total amount of orders placed through the affiliate's link.

You can also use the View, Edit, and Remove actions to manage your affiliates:

  • View: See which tickets were purchased through the affiliate's link, how many tickets were purchased, and the revenue.

  • Edit: Update the affiliate's name, code, or email.

  • Remove: Delete the affiliate. You will be asked to confirm before the affiliate is removed.

Track Affiliate Sales

The affiliate's code is built into the end of their ticket link, after ac=. For example:

eventeny.com/events/ticket/?id=11277&ac=J78Q6

When someone opens this link and purchases a ticket, the code is automatically tracked and the sale is credited to that affiliate. The purchaser does not need to enter anything at checkout.

Once the purchase is complete, the # Usage and Value columns in your Affiliate Program dashboard will update to include the sale. Click View next to the affiliate to see the ticket details.

ℹ️ Info: Affiliate codes only track sales. They do not give the ticket purchaser a discount.

Offer An Affiliate Discount

If you would like your affiliate to have a discount they can share with their audience, you can create a discount code using the affiliate's name as an alternative to an affiliate link (for example, JANEDOE10).

  1. Click on the Discount Codes option in the Tickets drop-down menu.

  2. Select the Create Discount Code button.

  3. Enter the affiliate's name in the Discount Code field, then fill out the rest of the form. For step-by-step instructions, review Creating Ticket Discount Codes.

  4. Share the code with your affiliate so purchasers can enter it at checkout.

You can track how many times the code has been used in the Redeemed column of your Discount Codes dashboard.

ℹ️ Info: Discount codes are not case sensitive!
