Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Learn how to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) to add an extra layer of security to your Eventeny account. This guide walks you through setting up your preferred verification method and managing your trusted devices.

Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication

New Eventeny Accounts

If you're creating a new Eventeny account, you'll automatically be prompted to set up two-factor authentication (2FA) during the account creation process. Simply follow the on-screen instructions to choose your preferred verification method and complete the setup.

Existing Eventeny Accounts

If you already have an Eventeny account, you can enable two-factor authentication at any time by following these steps:

1. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner of the screen. From the drop-down menu, select Account Settings.

2. Click the Personal info card.

3. Under the Account security section, you'll see the available verification methods:

  • Authenticator App

  • Text Message (SMS)

  • Email

Click the Set up button next to the authentication method(s) you'd like to enable. Follow the prompts to complete the setup for each selected method.

⚠️ Heads Up: You can configure more than one authentication method. Having a backup method can help you regain access to your account if one method becomes unavailable.

Updating Your Two-Factor Authentication Settings

You can update your two-factor authentication settings at any time. Next to each available authentication method (Authenticator App, Text Message, or Email), click Reconfigure to update your existing setup. From here, you can change your verification details, switch to a different authentication method, or update your current configuration as needed.

Managing Trusted Devices

If you've previously selected Remember this device when completing two-factor authentication, those devices will appear under the Trusted Devices section of your Account Security settings.

From this section, you can review the devices you've trusted and remove any that you no longer recognize or use to help keep your account secure.
