What's In This Article?
This article assumes that you have already created a ticket on Eventeny. If you have not yet created a ticket, please review this guide first.
Access the Ticket You Want To Create A Discount Code For
- From the ticket overview screen, click edit on the ticket that you would like to apply a discount code to.

Scroll down to the "Discounts" section and select "Create a code".
- Choose whether you would like to create a single discount code, or create bulk discount codes.
Create a Single Discount Code
- Once you have followed the steps above, fill out the generate code form with the following information:

Title:This is the internal title of the discount code.

Discount Code:This is the code that ticket purchasers will enter to receive the discount. If you do not wish to create a code, you can click the "generate code" option and a code will be created for you.

Discount Type: Select the type of discount you would like to offer.

Percentage off - This will take a percentage off of each ticket in the order
-
Flat off - This will take a flat amount off of each ticket in the order.

Buy one, get one - This will make one ticket free for every one ticket purchased; minimum 2 tickets purchased in one transaction to apply.

Buy three, get one - This will make one ticket free for every three tickets purchased; minimum 4 tickets purchased in one transaction to apply.

Buy ten, get one - This will make one ticket free for every ten tickets purchased; minimum 11 tickets purchased in one transaction to apply.

Percentage off - This will take a percentage off of each ticket in the order

Discount Value: What percentage or amount should be discounted from the ticket?

Quantity Available: How many discount codes are available to be used? You can leave this blank for unlimited use.

Max Allowed Per Order:This setting controls how many times a discount can be applied per account for a given event, not just per transaction. For example, if the limit is set to 2, the same account cannot bypass this by placing multiple separate orders—the limit applies across all orders tied to that account for the event.

Group Discount: Toggle this on if you would like a minimum number of tickets to be purchased before this discount can be applied. For example, a minimum of 15 tickets needs to be purchased before a 20% discount can be applied.

Time Restriction: Toggle this on if you would like this discount code to expire at a specific time. This is great for limited-time promotions.

- Click save! Your discount code is now active and can be used as long as your ticket is on sale.
Create Bulk Discount Codes
- Click the "Generate Bulk" option at the top of the discount code menu. Fill out the Generate Bulk code form with the following information:

Title: This is the internal title of the discount code.

Number of Codes: Enter how many discount codes you wish to create. There is a maximum of 500 discount codes created at one time.

Length of Codes: Enter the length of the code. This will tell the system how long you want your generated discount codes to be. The minimum length is 6 characters.

Discount Code :This is the code that ticket purchasers will enter to receive the discount. If you do not wish to create a code, you can click the "generate code" option and a code will be created for you.

Create A Universal Promotion Code
- Click on the "Discount Codes" option in the "Tickets" drop-down menu.
- Select the "Create Discount Code" button.

Choose whether you want to create a single code or multiple codes, and then fill out the generate code form with the following information:

- If needed, set a start and end date to apply a time restriction for the discount code. Then, assign the code to the specific tickets you'd like it to apply to. Click the "Save Discount Code" button.
- Once the code is saved, it will be available in your discount code dashboard with the ability to "edit" or "delete" the code.
Create An Affiliate Discount Code
- From the "Tickets" drop-down menu, select the "Affiliate Program" button.
- Click on the "+New Affiliate" button.
- Enter the affiliate's name, the code title (or generate one), and the affiliate's email address. Click 'Submit' when you're done.
- After the code has been created, it will be visible in your Affiliate's list. You will have the option to copy the custom affiliate link to the ticket using the "copy link" button.
- The additional options available are to view how many tickets were purchased using the affiliate link by clicking on the "view" button. If any tickets have been sold using the affiliate link, it will appear in a separate modal.
- Next, you decide to edit or remove the code by clicking on the "edit" or the "remove" button.
