Overview
Eventeny supports both time-based tickets and date-based tickets (without timeslots).
Time-based tickets allow you to control entry by specific time windows, while date-based tickets allow attendees to select a day without requiring a specific entry time—ideal for festivals, fairs, and general admission events.
Find Your Tickets
- Make sure you are logged into Eventeny.
- At the top of the homepage, hover over the "Organize" tab and select the event you wish to work with.
-
On the left sidebar, select "List" under the "Tickets" tab.
-
Select the ticket you want to create time slots for and click on "Edit Ticket".
Creating Time Slots
- Scroll down to the "Time Slots" section and click on the "+Add Time Slot" button.
You’ll be prompted to choose how attendees will make their selection at checkout. Select the "Tickets with Time slots" option to have attendees to choose specific entry times.
-
Next, you will be able to define the specific time windows you want to offer attendees:
Date: Select the date of the time slot.
Open Time / Close Time: Set the start and end time for the time slot. This determines when attendees will be allowed to enter for that time window.
Quantity: Enter the maximum number of tickets available for that specific time slot. This helps control how many people can check in at once.
-
Surcharge (optional): Add an additional fee if you'd like to charge differently for a particular time slot.
If you add a Quantity inside the Time Slots settings, this can override the quantity set in the Ticket Settings if the numbers go over. Be sure to double-check these values, as an error here could lead to overselling tickets.
Once your slot is configured, click "+ Slot" to enter more time blocks, and don’t forget to press the "Save" button to finalize your changes.
-
To make your ticket time slots visible and selectable during the attendee checkout process, make sure to toggle each slot from “Draft” to “Live.”
You’ll see this toggle under the Status column. If the toggle is set to “Draft,” the time slot won’t appear to attendees. Switch it to “Live” to activate it.
-
In the Actions column, you’ll see three icons next to each time slot. Here’s what each one does:
Copy Icon: Use this icon to quickly copy a time slot's details and create a new one based on the same setup. This is a time-saver if you’re using similar time frames or settings across multiple slots.
Pencil Icon: Click this to open and update the slot’s date, time, quantity, or surcharge.
Trash Can Icon: If you no longer need a time slot, use this icon to remove it from your list.
-
When a time slot is attached to a ticket, attendees will see a screen like this during the checkout process.
They’ll be prompted to select a time slot before completing their purchase.
-
Each available time slot shows:
The start time and any added surcharge.
The duration of the time slot.
A limited availability warning if the slot is nearly full.
After selecting their preferred time, they’ll click Confirm to proceed.
Creating Date-Based Tickets
- In the "Time Slots" section and click on the "+Add Time Slot" button.
- You’ll be prompted to choose how attendees will make their selection at checkout. Select the "All dayt tickets" option to have attendees to choose the specific date of the ticket they want.
- Next, you will be able to define the specific dates you want to offer attendees:
Date: Select the date of the slot.
Open Time / Close Time: Set the start and end time for the slot. This determines when attendees will be allowed to enter for that time window.
Quantity: Enter the maximum number of tickets available for that specific slot. This helps control how many people can check in at once.
