Creating Ticket Discount Codes on Eventeny

Access the Discount Code Menu

1. From the ticket overview screen, click edit on the ticket that you would like to apply a discount code to. 
   
   
   
   
2. Click "Create a Code" next to the Discounts section of the ticket edit screen.
3. Choose whether you would like to create a single discount code, or create bulk discount codes.

Create a Single Discount Code

1. Once you have followed the steps above, fill out the generate code form with the following information:
   
   
   
   
   1. Title - This is the internal title of the discount code.
   2. Discount Code - This is the code that ticket purchasers will enter to receive the discount
      1. If you do not wish to create a code, you can click the "generate code" option and a code will be created for you.
   3. Discount Type - Select the type of discount you would like to offer. 
      1. Percentage off - This will take a percentage off of each ticket in the order
      2. Flat off - This will take a flat amount off of each ticket in the order.
      3. Buy one, get one - This will make one ticket free for every one ticket purchased; minimum 2 tickets purchased in one transaction to apply.
      4. Buy three, get one - This will make one ticket free for every three tickets purchased; minimum 4 tickets purchased in one transaction to apply.
      5. Buy ten, get one - This will make one ticket free for every ten tickets purchased; minimum 11 tickets purchased in one transaction to apply. 
   4. Discount Value - What percentage or amount should be discounted from the ticket?
   5. Quantity Available - How many discount codes are available to be used? You can leave this blank for unlimited uses.
   6. Max Allowed Per Order - How many times can this discount be applied in one order?
   7. Group Discount - Toggle this on if you would like a minimum number of tickets to be purchased before this discount can be applied. For example, a minimum of 15 tickets needs to be purchased before a 20% discount can be applied.
   8. Time Restriction - Toggle this on if you would like this discount code to expire at a specific time. This is great for limited-time promotions. 
2. Click save! Your discount code is now active and can be used as long as your ticket is on sale. 

Create Bulk Discount Codes

1. Click the "Generate Bulk" option at the top of the discount code menu.
2. Fill out the Generate Bulk code form with the following information:
   
   
    
   1. Title - This is the internal title of the discount code.
   2. Number of Codes - How many discount codes would you like the system to generate for you?
   3. Length of Code - How many characters would you like each created discount code to be (minimum of 6 characters)?
   4. Discount Type - Select the type of discount you would like to offer. 
      1. Percentage off - This will take a percentage off of each ticket in the order.
      2. Flat off - This will take a flat amount off of each ticket in the order.
      3. Buy one, get one - This will make one ticket free for every one ticket purchased; minimum 2 tickets purchased in one transaction to apply.
      4. Buy three, get one - This will make one ticket free for every three tickets purchased; minimum 4 tickets purchased in one transaction to apply.
      5. Buy ten, get one - This will make one ticket free for every ten tickets purchased; minimum 11 tickets purchased in one transaction to apply. 
   5. Discount Value - What percentage or amount should be discounted from the ticket?
   6. Quantity Available - How many discount codes are available to be used? You can leave this blank for unlimited uses.

3. Click Save. Your discount codes will be generated; depending on the number of codes requested, this could take some time so please do not refresh your page until you get confirmation that the codes have been successfully issued.
