What's In This Article?
API tokens allow you to securely connect Eventeny with approved third-party systems, custom integrations, and developer tools. They act as a secure authentication key that grants access to supported Eventeny data and features.
You may use an API token for tasks such as syncing data, building custom workflows, integrating external platforms, and streamlining business processes.
Generate An API Token
Before connecting Eventeny to Zapier, you’ll first need to create an API token in your Eventeny account.
- Log in to your Eventeny account. Click on your profile icon in the top right corner. From the dropdown menu, select Company Details.
- On the left-side panel, click Developer.
- Click the Create API Key button.
- Enter a name for the key and a short description for the key. Click Create Key.
- Locate the API key you just created in the list. Confirm the Status shows as Active. If needed, click the eye icon to reveal the full key. Click the copy icon next to the key to copy it to your clipboard. Keep this key available, as it will be used in the next steps when connecting Eventeny to Zapier.
Managing Your API Key
To manage an existing API key, click the three-dot menu under the Actions column next to the key. From there, you will see the following options:
- Disable Key – Temporarily deactivate the key so it can no longer be used.
- Regenerate Key – Create a new version of the key for added security. Any previous version will no longer work.
- Edit Key Info – Update the key name or description for easier organization.
- Delete Key – Permanently remove the key from your account.
