Access Ticket Selling Settings
To access ticket selling settings in the mobile app:
Open the mobile app and log in.
From the Events screen, select the event you want to manage.
Tap More in the bottom navigation menu.
Scroll to the Sell section.
From here, you will see several settings that control how tickets can be sold and issued through the app.
Payment Methods
The Payment Methods setting allows organizers to control how customers can pay for tickets when they are sold through the mobile app.
Security PIN
To protect payment settings, the app requires a Security PIN. This PIN must be entered before modifying payment methods, helping prevent unauthorized changes during an event. To secure the payment method settings:
- Tap “Create PIN.”
- Enter a four-digit PIN, then tap “Create PIN” again to confirm.
Accepted Payment Methods
Organizers can enable or disable the following payment options:
- Tap, insert, or swipe to pay: Allows payments through a connected payment terminal.
- Manual credit card entry: Allows staff to manually type in a credit card number during checkout.
- Cash: Allows tickets to be sold using cash and records the transaction in the system.
- Complimentary: Allows staff to issue tickets at no cost.
Ask for Attendee Information
The Ask Attendee for Information section allows organizers to control what information is collected from attendees during the ticket checkout process.
Information to Collect
Under Information to collect, you can choose which details are required when tickets are sold:
Name: Collect the attendee’s name.
Email: Collect the attendee’s email address.
Phone number: Collect the attendee’s phone number.
Collect custom responses: Collect answers to any custom questions that were created for the ticket.
You can enable or disable each option depending on the information you need to gather from attendees.
Attendee Information Level
This setting determines how frequently attendee information is collected during checkout.
Order level: Attendee information is collected once for the entire order, regardless of how many tickets are purchased.
Ticket level: Attendee information is collected for each individual ticket, requiring details for every attendee included in the order.
Ticket Restrictions
The Ticket Restrictions section allows organizers to control which ticket types can be issued or sold from the mobile device.
Under Issue tickets, you can select which ticket types are available when selling tickets in the app. The ticket types displayed in this list are based on the tickets that were created in the web version of the platform, and the titles of those tickets will appear here.
If Allow All Tickets is enabled, all ticket types created for the event will automatically be available for sale on the device. If it is disabled, you can manually select which ticket types staff are allowed to issue.
Gratuity Options
The Gratuity Options section allows organizers to enable tipping during checkout when tickets are sold through the mobile app. When Collect gratuity is enabled, customers are given the option to add a tip when completing their payment.
Default gratuity: Displays preset tipping options
Customize gratuity: Allows organizers to create custom tipping options.
You can configure up to three gratuity options using either:
Percentage: Tip based on a percentage of the purchase.
Dollar amount: Tip based on a fixed dollar value.
Once configured, these options will appear for customers when completing their payment.
Kiosk Mode
Kiosk Mode allows you to set up a device for self-service ticket purchases, enabling attendees to buy tickets directly from a tablet or device without staff assistance.
To use Kiosk Mode, a payment terminal must be connected so the device can process payments. You can also create a Kiosk PIN, which is used to exit kiosk mode and helps prevent unauthorized users from accessing other parts of the app. Once kiosk mode is enabled, the device will require the PIN to exit.
