The Eventeny mobile admin app allows organizers to connect a Stripe Reader to accept in-person card payments during an event. Once connected, the terminal can be used for on-site sales directly through the app.
Before You Begin
Before connecting your Stripe terminal, make sure that:
Your Stripe Reader charged, powered on and nearby.
Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
You are logged into the Eventeny mobile admin app.
Navigate to Hardware Settings
From the Events screen, select the event you want to manage.
Tap More in the bottom navigation menu.
Scroll to the Hardware section and select the Setup payment terminal option.
Confirm the Terminal Location
This will open the Payment Terminal settings page. Select the arrow next to Terminal location to confirm that the listed location is correct for your event. If needed, you can also add a new location from this screen.
Select the Create new location option

Enter in the new address and tap Save
Connect Your Stripe Reader
Return to the Payment terminal settings menu. Under Connect and manage, tap: Stripe Reader → Connect.
A pairing screen will appear explaining how to connect the reader If prompted to enter a pairing code, use the 6-digit code printed on the back of your Stripe Reader. Tap Continue.
The app will display available Stripe readers nearby. Locate your reader by matching the serial number on the back of the device. Tap Choose next to the correct reader.
You can optionally assign a name to your reader to help identify it later. Enter a name and tap Save, or select Continue without name.

The reader may automatically install a firmware update. During this update:
Do not close the app
Do not power off the reader

When connected, the reader will show a battery indicator and percentage and a Disconnect option.
Disconnect A Reader
To disconnect a reader:
Locate the reader under My terminals and tap Disconnect
Edit the Reader Name
You can rename your reader at any time.
Tap the information icon next to the reader
Select Edit
Enter a new reader name and tap Save
Forget A Reader
If you no longer want the device connected to your account, you can remove it.
Tap the information icon next to the reader
Select Forget this device
Confirm by tapping Forget device
Troubleshooting Tips
If your Stripe Reader does not appear or will not connect during setup, try the following:
Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
Ensure the Stripe Reader is powered on and nearby.
Confirm the reader is fully charged, as low battery can cause connection issues.
Make sure the Stripe Reader firmware is up to date, as outdated software may prevent pairing.
Tap Refresh on the device selection screen to scan again.
If the reader still does not appear, try turning the reader off and back on and restarting the connection process.
